How can a simple piece of plastic make such a difference? It's so easy to use. One edge is slightly arched and the other is flat. The flat edge has grooves and one side is rougher than the other. Hold it with the arch up and scrape the flat edge on your tongue from back to front. If you don't get much of a result then flip it around to the rougher side and you'll hit the jackpot. It's hard to believe that so much gunk comes off my tongue and my breath is naturally fresher without having to use mouthwash. I have had one of these for many years. I don't remember exactly how I got it but I think it was a free bonus with a toothbrush. Anyway, fast forward about 12-15 years and I wanted another one to keep in my travel bag. I couldn't find these in the store and ended up buying the style with a handle but it was not rough enough and it was useless. I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for on Amazon. I only wish these were about an inch shorter to fit easier in my cosmetic bag.

As someone who has the worst gag reflex on this planet, these are fantastic! You can bend them to be fairly small so you can easily get the back of your tongue without triggering your reflex too much. They work great! Recommended by my dentist as well.

These are the only types of tongue scrapers that work. Those kinds on the backs of toothbrushes or those with the rubber knobs don't work. These really scrape all the junk off the tongue. I suffered for years, embarrassingly, with bad breath. I brushed twice a day, flossed every day, used mouthwash every day and 5 minutes later it would stink again. I carried gum and/or mints on my person at all times. I was considering going to the dentist for doctor advice/treatments then my husband bought a scraper similar to these. I used it, per his approval haha, and my bad breath disappeared! It was my tongue the entire time. Disgusting when I think back on it, but I'm going on 4+ years now of no bad breath. The only reason I gave this 4 stars was because my husband said it was a bit sharp so be careful on the amount of pressure you use at first. I still use the original tongue scraper he bought about 4-5 years ago so they last a long time.

Great product! I used one of these for years before it finally snapped in half probably due to the plastic hardening with age, so promptly ordered more. It is a terrific way to finish off tooth brushing-and-flossing and end up with fresh breath for hours. I happened to read reviews listing concerns about the cleanliness of the product arriving bare and stuffed in baggies, so I am enclosing photos of the product I arrived. Yes, the three individual scrapers were enclosed in a zip lock container, but it was specifically sized to fit three, each of which was individually enclosed in a factory sealed plastic packet with the scraper itself inside a folded instruction sheet. Everything was as sanitized as you could wish for. So of course wash the scraper before using - as you would with any product that is used in your mouth - but there is no need for concern.

This scraper really does work. I brush my teeth, I rinse, use mouthwash then scrape my tongue, in that order. My mouth is cleaner and my breath fresher. Also the BreathRX scraper is very lightweight, easy to clean and fits in the same place I keep my toothbrush when I travel.
