Yes you can add it to a smoothie, that's how I use it. And as to how much that's a personal preference. I'm not a doctor so I can't tell you how much. I use up to a tablespoon or less depending on how I'm feeling. 1,355 mg per 1/2 rounded teaspoon. I hope this helps.

I heard inorganic lysine is made from distilled baby tears, carbonic acid, ammonia and love. Organic lysine will make you take your clothes off and dance down the street blasting Eye of the Tiger on an 80's boom box. But really though, a chemical is a chemical it doesn't matter if it came from a plant or made in a lab - the confguration is the same. In some regions the isotopes vary, some radioactive. If the soil has radioactive nitrogen-15 instead of normal nitrogen-15, tests will just say nitrogen levels unless you get a nuclear chemist to analyze the soil. Sites for the Manhattan project were hidden all over the country making and storing weapons grade uranium. When shut down the DOE just buried it all. In my town they filled the catholic church with it and put topsoil over it lol 😅

We have recently changed suppliers for this product, which may explain the change in consistency- but it is still the same product.
