This was a refurbished tablet
My 12 year old don't know it was refurbish, she loves it. It looks like new and works great. It is hard to beat samsung tablets and phones, for the price. The battery works like new. It came with charger and cables. The only thing wrong, was the cable/ cord didn't fit the charger. But, I keep plenty on chargers around.

Very functional, cheap tablet. SLOW
I have an older 8" Android tablet I bought in 2017. It still works great, but it's getting harder to find apps that work on that version of Android. And it can be slow. So I thought, why not get a 2023 model? I can upgrade my Android version and get a faster processor as well. I got this A7 as a highly-recommended 8" tablet, and was looking forward to using it. However, the newer models aren't that great. The new versions of Android remain clunky to use. The app icons got even smaller and spaced wider apart, which on an 8" screen is very annoying to use. The home screen still doesn't know how to rotate (maybe rotating a home screen is forever beyond the capabilities of software engineering?). The updated Android version means older apps I'm used to aren't working any more, and all the new apps have multiple layers of permission pop-ups. And Android still doesn't know how to dim its screen properly? So you have to use third-party apps to dim the screen at night, and they need crazy amounts of scary permissions. Worst of all, the 2023 A7 is slower than the 2017 tablet I was using earlier. Maybe it's slower hardware? Maybe the advanced Android system slows the system down? I'm not sure. So I'm still using my older 2017 tablet as my primary device. I've got this newer, slower A7 as a backup reading device. I'd still give this 4 stars, since it is a working 8" Android tablet at a good price point that seems to be reliable. But the past 6 years haven't brought any significant improvements in speed or functionality that I can see.
