Excellent set
I really love this set! It's a great assortment of a bunch of different sizes of stars, plus planets and galaxies, etc. I love the sparkly stars although it doesn't show in the dark at all. There are quite a lot in the kit, too, so you can really decorate an entire room. They're super bright as well. The effect doesn't last long but by the time it dims hopefully you'll be asleep. You can also take them off the wall and put them away and then put them on another wall later if you move--the stuff is still sticky and doesn't dry out. I've bought other star kits before but this one is definitely worth the higher price. The stars are much more interesting looking and I think brighter as well.

We love this set!!
We bought this for our 2 daughters. Yes, there are little tiny pieces and yes, it does take a long time to put these all up. However, the end result is so great. There are enough stars to cover the ceiling and the walls so that it really does feel like you are out under the stars. The sticker pieces don't hold the glow as long as the plastic pieces but the whole effect in the room is wonderful. It lasts at least an hour. I had a similar set in my son's room when he was younger. That set didn't glow for nearly as long as these stars do. Now at bedtime, we all head into the girls room to enjoy the effect.**********UPDATE**************Still loving these! Just bought(July 2011) another set for my 2 year old son's room. The set in my daughters' room is still up and still glowing after several years! Although they are getting older, they still love having the stars at night.

So many stars!
A lot reviewers have complained that most of the stars in this pack are too small, but when something says it is coming with 775 of something for the same price as comparable projects that contain much fewer you should realize they are going to be smaller. Many of these stars are in fact stickers! Which are perfect for making constellations on ceilings. I actually used these stickers to right "I Love You" on my boyfriends ceiling above his bed. It came out great! In the dark the message shown bright, but in the day light you couldn't tell that anything was on the slanted wall at eye level. Since, he has even moved out of that apartment and the landlord inspected the room and gave him his full deposit back. Both he and I completely forgot to take the stars down (which still shown bright after 4 months). I'm sure the new tenant will get a surprise! Only two negatives I can find with the product. One, it does have to be really dark to see the small starts, and the second is it did not come with nearly enough sticky tack to put up the stars that require it. This however, can be found in most office supply stores/ departments.

Glow in the Dark Stars
I bought this set, along with the 3D Solar System kit also by University Games. As stated in previous reviews, more than half of the 700+ stars this kit says it has are stickers, and they are little stickers. This kit came with two sheets of stickers. Each sheet had 200 stickers on it, but the sheets were only about 5" x 7", if that gives you any indication. This actually worked out well for me, as I stuck these to some black plastic sheeting that had pre-printed stars on it, then lined the ceiling with it and there was a very nice assortment of shapes (stars, shooting stars, moons, planets). BUT, it was difficult to remove the stickers from the sheets as they weren't cut all the way through in some places, and cut all the way through the backing in others. All in all, about 5-10 stars per sheet were completely unusable, while others had missing points by the time they made it to the sheeting. Not a huge deal, but very frustrating when you are trying to stick on 600 stickers (200 from the other kit).As for the plastic stars and features, there are some nice large ones (~10), some medium ones (-30-40), and the rest are pretty small. The larger ones I ended up stringing up with fishing line and hanging from the ceiling using thumbtacks. I then used the small stars to cover the thumbtacks holding the other stars and that were used to hold the sheeting up. The rest I placed on the top foot of the walls. I was able to get a nice 3D feeling in the room, as the stickers were smaller and glow a little less than the plastic stars, making them appear farther away. Meanwhile the larger plastic stars glow very well appearing closer, plus I hung them at various lengths from the ceiling. The white putty they give to mount the plastic stars are okay on the walls, but some of the stars from the ceiling have begun to fall, as well as the stickers, and it's only been a couple of weeks.I am actually satisfied with these, for all the flaws. The effect was great and my 5 y/o son, who we surprised with the room decorating, loves it. When the stars fall to the floor, he collects them and puts them on his bed.All in all a good deal for the price.
