Well, I can honestly say it's the best chana dal I've ever cooked. It's also the first of course! Seriously though the product I got seemed clean and of good quality. Oddly, it was a different brand than pictured and in the description. I've never made it before though so it's not like I'm brand loyal or know the difference. I'm curious to see how my blood sugar reacts, this stuff is supposed to be really low on the glycemic index. Oh, it also tasted very good. I cooked it in my pressure cooker then sauteed it with a little Olive oil, garam masala, onions and salt. Turned out great.

Love this stuff. Low in carbs with slow burn. Picks up all flavor like curry or onion and garlic. Bullion, etc.

1 Bag was split open...
This is just what I was looking for, but one of the 2 lb bags has a split down the front of it. I had to throw it out as it was a food item.
