Perfect - fits my 36v B&D strimmer & runs it very well
[June 2024 update 1 year on - NO PROBLEMS VERY GOOD INDEED, only miffed see at £37.99 it's £2 less to buy presently.] Fully compatible my much loved & used GLC3630L20 strimmer & charger (also on newer BCSTA5362L1-GB which I since had to buy). 1st impression after 4 full charge/discharges it works better than the original mercurial B&D battery ever did. Warning - if your similar strimmer is 2016/7 you are likely best to replace it entirely rather than new battery. Had a tangle with hidden nylon & wire so took apart head for 1st time. It needs new motor spindle gear & clamshell set so that's £50 and the upper clamshell is also ropey. Can't moan as I've really used this tool a lot. I've made do a fix using bottom of a beer can but it suited me to spend 4 hours fiddling about. Update - that only lasted a month so bought a new strimmer kept this battery & old charger sold the ones that came with recent purchase. This battery is 5 star.

Faulty battery - zero customer service
Very poor quality and lack of customer service. Battery has stopped charging after just 4 months. No response from seller to replace or refund under warranty. Amazon shouldn't be listing such items.

Good value
I struggle to understand what battery can be used with different tools. I spend time trying to understand what the differences are and what do I need? What I do not find confusing is the cost involved, invariably the price charged by a manufacturer who just sticks the company ‘s logo on the battery is way more than an unbadged battery. This battery cost roughly one third less than a Black and Decker battery and is very good. It hasn’t caused any harm to the strimmer and we now have the convenience of two batteries. No downside, if your dithering, just go ahead, you won’t regret it.

Compatible Replacement for Black and Decker
First battery that came would not charge. Contacted seller through Amazon and they arranged a no quibble replacement to be sent out by return. The replacement charged up with no problem. It fits and runs ok on my strimmer. Not tested at length or run down but having charged up as it should, hopefully it will be fine. Would buy again.

Good so far
Used this to replace a battery on a black and decker strimmer. Seems far better than the original battery and appears more powerful. Only used it twice but so far has held the charge well and we've managed to get through a lot of overgrown weeds without having to keep recharging.

Excellent Black & Decker alternative
Despite indicating fully charged my 36v Black & Decker battery seemed to drain its power after only a few minutes use. In fairness it lasted a few seasons but faced with paying out £60 - £70 pounds for a battery that isn't compatible with any other equipment I have and the spate of poor reviews regarding life I purchased this one from Geelink at under £40. Against the B & D product rating of 36v 2.0Ah this one is marked 40v 3.0Ah and what a revelation! After 30 minutes of hard use it was still showing 2 bars and I was able to finish the job without recharging. Very pleased and would recommend.

Not worth the money
Does not discharge below one led or charge above 3 LEDs. Instead of finishing charging on solid green light it stops on flashing red. Used with strimmer and lawnmower but not for long.

Pay heed to feedback before buying
On the basis that reviewers tend to only surface to write something negative about a product, I ignored the warnings about the product finishing it's charging cycle with a flashing red light on the charger. Should have listened, as that's what mine has done on the very first initial charge after receiving it. It seemed to charge ok though so persevered. But the charge didn't last as long as the branded battery that came with the mower and after 4 or 5 charges gave up the ghost. Contacted Geelink a few months down the line and their answer was, buy another one then. Do yourself a favour and pay another £12 on a genuine one.
