Hippo lover approved!
My daughter is 15 months old and loves hippos, so I thought I would give this a try even though there aren't any reviews and no views of the inside. The book talks about the hippo's coat, toes, nose, ears, and ends with where the hippo would sleep. The front cover and all pages except the last two are tactile. The last page has a special paper effect instead. At the end, I always tickle her with the tail, which makes for lots of giggles. It is a cute book that she has me read to her several times a day and I have even seen her "reading" it on her own. A little pricey, but cute for an animal lover.

One of the best Jellycat books
Unlike some of the other Jellycat books, this one has great variation of textures. Each page has a different textile, including velcro, satin, leather, and ribbed silk.

Even though it’s a kids book, great for any hippo afficionado
This reminds me a lot of usborne “that’s not my...” series but w bit more whimsical. A fantastic gift for my hippo loving friends!

My baby loves these books!
These (the Jellycat "If I were a...") books are my daughters favorites! We have a lot of books but these are always her go-to. She wants to do them over and over again and loves every page, the textures on them, the tails sticking out, and how easy the pages are for her to turn.

Four Stars
My 20 month old daughters favorite book. Although it started to fall apart at the binding almost immediately. :(
