Greetings. Yes you can. If you activate the timer and go to clock mode, the timer still functions. If you are using the timer in countdown mode, when in clock mode, the alarm still rings. If you are using the timer like a stopwatch, the timer continues to count up if you go into clock mode.

Q: I am looking to use the timer for exercise. How easily can you reset the time for repetitive drills?

This timer requires retyping the time interval after the alarm rings. There are timers that reset to the set timer interval after the alarm rings. This timer does not do this.
