2023 Road Glide (FLTRX), purchased new in June of ‘24. Installation was easy, but as mentioned, you’ll want to watch one of the myriad YouTube videos on removing your fairing.Notes (for iPhone):* you need a good quality cable (eg belkin)* unpair your phone bluetooth (this will allow you to connect phone to mic and speakers. Eg airpods)* will take 15-20 seconds for CarPlay to snap in (you’ll get a prompt on your phone first time)* projection was enabled on my bike already, but check that* auto connect was auto enabled on my phone in the CarPlay settings, but check that

Turn projection on in settings
Super simple to install, but it didn’t work. No instructions. 30 YouTube videos later someone finally said turn screen projection on. Boom! It works.

2023 road glide special
Having recently had issues attempting to install my own bars and heated grips, my confidence was low going into this. I had a rattle on the right side of my fairing I was investigating and decided to see if this adapter I’ve had for 10 months was worth the effort.Seemed simple enough, fairing was off, just remove the dust cover and plug it into the unused beige connector behind my radio.I was sure it was going to blow a fuse, or immediately light my bike on fire. I turned my ignition switch on, everything looked good.I plug my phone into the usb adapter, and what’s this? A CarPlay icon!?Turn my bike on, and it’s all working, first try, no issues!Just like in my Silverado.If in fact, my bike does blow up, I’ll post a follow up. But for now, this seems like a rare occurrence that a cheap and easy “hack” actually works.10/10, best $10 you will spend on your bike.

Projection on, updated software, won’t work.
Didn’t work. Reset the radio, updated for software, even purchased a brand new apple cable. No dice. No clue why it won’t work while everyone else’s is. 2020 Road Glide
