MedcosaBack Gel Pack (-BF)

This is a great value gel ice pack which I'm using on my back and right knee. This gets very cold after a couple of hours in the freezer and is big enough to cover all your lower back, and completely encloses my knee.At the time of writing this review it's pretty warm, but even though you'll easily get 15mins of cold treatment. I shall probably buy another so I can do both together.Hard to judge something like pain relief, as my use is to prevent pain, but I've no doubt this provides enough cold to ease a certain amount.

OK it works. I found it a bit bulky and awkward to secure round upper arm. However, if you have assistance, no problem. Also, its big enough to use on any number of limbs. Mine arrived with the stitching of the Velcro on one end unravelled. It seems a weakness as I noted in reviews that someone else experienced the same problem. I needed to use it so my wife restitched the Velcro securely. Its a small point and maybe a minor quality control problem. Main thing is it works. J.P.

If you buy this product make sure you don’t leave it in the microwave for not even a second past the recommended time slot. Instructions should have been much more clear that you can’t exceed the suggested time limit. If you do, the separation bust and and you are left with one big compartment which moves to the side it’s inclined to. I had to throw away as it was no longer serving it’s purpose. I loved the concept but I think it needs a much stronger hold or maybe not gel so that it doesn’t explode.

Well made & durable. We used it after a full knee operation and found it was good to help reduce the pain.Comes with a durable clear bag to slide it into, before placing it into the freezer. should be helpfull in the event of other body sprains and pains.

I use this a lot for my post-exercise cool down and it's very helpful. It's easy to use as you can just strap it on and tighten anywhere on your body and works in seconds, cooling the area that feels a little sore. I use it mainly for the ice pack, but haven't tried the heating method. I think it's a must have as I've nursed a lot of sport injuries using this.
