Bargain on Prime day
Bear in mind that I paid 20 quid for mine on Prime day, which turns out to be great value for money.I have a few favourite ear buds that cost a lot of money but I have always been on the lookout for cheap buds that I don't have to worry about losing. Well I have just found them! The joy of these is that in setting them up through the Alexa app, you get to test out your hearing. I have reduced hearing in one ear for the last year or so. These are now set to compensate for that. That is fantastic for me. The sound is generally fine, not brilliant but perfectly ok. The ANC is good and the mics are good for tel and teams calls. I can't believe I hesitated before buying these at 20 quid on the basis that I already have too many ear buds. Now wish I had got a second pair!Just a word on setup. As I mentioned the initial set up was through Alexa app. For other machines after that you put the buds in pairing mode by opening the case and pressing the button on the back of the case until the light turns 🔵. After that it's the usual Bluetooth connection method.

Good headphones for the price
So far so good, looks and fits nicely, colour is not faded, music and sound quality is not bad compared to really cheap and expensive headphones. Battery hold long time, easy to connect with either Bluetooth or Alexander app. Not going to lie, dropped them few times already and still in one pice.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE EARBUDS !!
I was initially quite impressed with these Amazon Echo Buds 2, true wireless earbuds. I did my research online and I seen many reviews about how good these sounded and about the secure fit. The reviews also mentioned about the size of the earbuds and also how they looked in the ear, which was of a very minimal profile. These arrived promptly soon after I placed my order.I chose the wireless charging version which was a bit more expensive than the normal cable charging set. I didn’t have any issues with the wireless charging after connecting to my iPhone. The earbuds lasted for most of the day for me, with around 40% battery left in the earbuds. Weirdly, the earbuds did discharge the battery unevenly, which should have gave me a clue to how bad these truly were.I liked the size of the earbuds and they didn’t stick out too much and they were quite similar to others that I own. I liked the fit and they were secure in my ears. I was never worried that these would fall out. These came with 4 sets of ear tips witch were in different colours and 2 sets of small and large earbud wing grips. Included in the box was a standard USB - C cable and standard pamphlets. The ANC was fairly decent most of the time, whilst I had these but they were not fantastic.I could still hear background noise whilst in public surroundings but this was muffled down quite a lot, at least for me.Probably the best thing about these for me was the fit. These were probably the best fitted earbuds I’ve owned. Despite what I thought was great or fantastic, the cons definitely surpassed the things I liked about these.I had these earbuds for less than a coupe of weeks before they started to develop issues.Firstly, they started to make loud screeching noises when I was fitting both the left and the right earbuds. They also began to make distorting noises every so often but this noise. Sound had become a very regular occurrence and a this was definitely annoying! This distortion noise sounded as though the earbuds were loosing the bluetooth connection. Although, they never did disconnect form my phone. It was something I was not happy with at all and I decided to return these earbuds.I returned these on the 6/04 and as of today, the 30/04 I still haven’t been refunded. This in its self is shocking, let alone the poor quality of these earbuds .Amazon had confirmed to me receipt of the return on the 08/04 through chat support. This is absolutely inexcusable poor service from Amazon. If less than one star was available for these then that would definitely be my preferred choice for these earbuds and I am now forced to give at least one star.Let it be known, that these earbuds are not worth the effort in buying or using. You will definitely have problems. Give it time! You will not have to wait long before some issues become apparent. Please pay attention to this warning. Despite what I have mentioned about what I liked about these earbuds, I feel I have to warn you all to a stay away. You will most definitely find other earbuds, for the price I paid (£79.99), which are of a much better build quality and performance. You have all be warned. For Amazon: - I want my money back ASAP!

Not bad for the price I paid
Good earbuds, shame that you need the Alexa app to use them though!Other than that for the price I paid I can’t fault them, great audio. Quite sparkly sounding, wireless charging available.Last negative, battery life don’t seem too great.

Good but with a few issues
I had previously owned a pair of 1st Gen Echo Buds and despite the decent sound quality and Alexa integration, I had to return them as the right bud eventually failed. I was keen to see the improvements made by the 2nd Gen Echo Buds so took the plunge to try them out. Overall they're a strange mix compared to the 1st Gen buds - there are some notable improvements but also a downgrade in certain areas, which is odd considering you would expect a 2nd Gen to usually improve on the original's flaws.Overall, the sound quality on these buds is very good, with a much clearer sound coming from the highs and mids, than the original Echo Buds had. Bass is a bit weaker than the 1st Gen but not an issue for me as I prefer a clear sound over thumping bass. Overall the sound is pretty well balanced, and the Alexa app itself has a basic equaliser that will help balance the tone if required. One issue I had with my 1st Gen buds was that they didn't fit very well in my ear, and I just assumed this was because I have weird ears. My wife has assured me I still do have weird ears, but at least the 2nd Gen buds seem to fit better and come along with a variety of end tips and wing tips that should help most users find a combination that will provide a comfortable fit. They do appear to protrude out from my ear a bit more than the original buds but doesn't affect the fit in any way and they still look pretty sleek. As with the 1st Gen buds, Alexa integration works as well as expected and I also had no issues pairing the buds with my iphone. Amazon claims battery life for the buds is about 5 hours per charge, and 15 hours for the case, so about 3 full uses of the buds before recharging the case. So far, I'd say that's a pretty close estimation so can't complain on this front. The tap controls work pretty well too, with one tap to play/pause, a double-tap to skip tracks and a long hold to switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Passthrough. Of course, the Alexa app allows you to change these if you need but I thought these worked well. The Alexa app also allows you to set the level of Passthrough, amplifying it if you need that feature, which is handy. So far there have been plenty of improvements over the 1st Gen buds, and a lot of other wireless buds on the market, but there are also a few issues with these buds.Firstly, the Active Noise Cancellation is quite poor. In indoor situations I could still hear the voices on the TV in the background. Granted, it is less prominent than when the Passthrough is on, so there is some element of Noise Cancellation, it's just quite weak. Outdoors, it was a bit better but I was still able to hear some ambient noise. I understand Active Noise Cancellation isn't going to magically mute all background noise, but the biggest disappointment from this is how big a downgrade this is from the 1st Gen Echo buds, which had superior ANC where I could really tell the difference. The second big issue is with the overall build quality and reliability - this is my 2nd pair of 2nd Gen buds that Amazon have sent me as one of the buds in the first pair failed within a week, and my 1st Gen buds also had the exact same issue with a bud failing. So far my replacement buds are holding up but it's early days so hopefully they'll be ok over the coming months. This is something of a concern as these aren't a pair of supposedly flimsy £20 buds. I've also made sure I've handled them carefully and they naturally stay in the charging case when not in use so it's worth noting this as a bit of an issue when considering these buds.Overall, I would probably recommend these buds if you're looking for a pair of wireless buds with good sound quality (unless you're looking for something bass-heavy, then go with a pair of Beats or something similar) and the inclusion of Active Noise Cancellation - although ANC is not great, there are few comparable buds at this price that will have it better, or even include it at all.TLDR - a good pair of buds let down by poor Active Noise Cancellation and possible build quality issuesPros- Good sound quality- Plenty of features and integration- Battery Life- Variety of tips for fitting optionsCons- Active Noise Cancellation isn't great (and a downgrade on the 1st Gen Echo Buds)- Reliability and build qualityEDIT: Following a number of issues relating to noise cancellation, build and the buds failing k ended up just sending these back and going for something else. Great service from Amazon in processing the return without any fuss.
