Great quality, good gift
Great quality, my mother loves it. It arrived just pictured, and it rotates pretty smoothly.

Great for blind speed cubers
This is an excellent cube for the price. Other textured cubes are much more expensive and not designed for speed cubing. I own two of these, one for practice and one for competition. As others have noted, manufacturing is inconsistent. My two cubes have the same textures, but as shipped, the textures were applied to different sides. Fortunately the textures pop off with a small screwdriver and can be rearranged as desired. The colors vary, but I'm blind, so that's not a problem. I agree that the heart and box textures feel similar, but I can simply remove the heart textures to produce one side of the cube that is entirely concave. It's worth noting that these cubes have a speed cube feature: The center cubie of each side pops open to reveal a screw. Adjusting the screw produces a tighter or looser cube, giving you some control over corner cutting, etc. What can I say? I'm totally satisfied.

I love this cube and use it all the time but I have two small complaints
I'm a seeing person but sometimes I just really like to close my eyes and do something tactile with my hands that's really absorbing. That's why I learned braille, and that's why I bought this cube. I love this cube and was able almost instantly to solve it without looking at it, once I re-learned the beginner's solving algorithm, and a lot of the textures just feel good to my fingers and make me happy. It also rotates very nicely, just like a real branded Rubik's Cube. I have only two small complaints: 1. Most of the patterns have very nice symmetry, which means that no matter how they're turned you can instantly identify them even from a brief touch. But one is not. The hearts. The hearts are cute visually, but I hate how they feel. I also occasionally mix them up with the other ones, particularly the trapezoidal square bumps. I'd much rather have, for example, a concave version of the round bumps, or even just a little pyramidal dot in the middle. 2. They're not manufactured in a consistent manner! I ordered two of them and not only in the mapping from textures to colors different between them, but the arrangement of the textures around the cube is also different. My first cube had the square bumps on white and yellow was flat, which I thought was just perfect, but the second one has the two-circle pattern on the yellow side which I don't quite like as much. And you have no way to anticipate which one you're going to get, it's seemingly random. This is quite different from a traditional Rubik's cube where the arrangement of the colors is always 100% consistent. I'll get used to it but I really wish I could just have two identical cubes. These are small complaints though and overall I love this cube and would highly recommend it to anyone. Even to a sighted person who has no intention of trying to solve it blindfolded, it adds a tactile dimension to the experience that makes it more engaging and a better experience. Of all the zillion variants of Rubik's cubes in the world this one is the best.

A great tactile toy
This was a gift for my blind brother inlaw. To say he was thrilled would be an understatement. He had no idea these were a thing and he was so excited to play with it. My thoughts, it was a little stiff to turn and a bit small but other than that its fantastic.

Did what I was looking for, few changes I wish for
Ultimately this cube serves its purpose and I use it literally every day. The shapes are distinct enough to solve easily once you get familiar with it. It feels kind of “crunchy” or sticky while using though. I had gotten used to speed cubes and super smooth turning, and this is definitely not that. It makes audible squeaking/clacking noises as you use it, so unfortunately I’m self conscious using it in quiet environments. Also, DON’T drop it - the shape pieces pop out very easily. They’re easy to put back on, but if you knock multiple off, it can be difficult to figure out where they should go back on.

This is a hit!
My cousin loves this puzzle! She loved games when she was partially sighted years ago. There is no reason she should not still be able to entertain herself in a fun and challenging way.

Excellent
My nephew is losing his vision due to treatment for a non cancerous brain tumor and I got this for him after his most recent surgery. He was super excited when he realized what it was and has been playing with it a bunch. He was super proud when he solved it. Thank you so much for making items that are for people with visual impairments.

Horribly insensitive
Not all the shapes on the red face matched. This is a horribly insensitive manufacturing error making it useless for use by someone who is visually impaired.
