Q: Is it possible (and safe) to use this on the sofa and sit on it, rather than use it to wrap over me? I actually want to sit on it.

they say you dont sit on it ,but I tuck it under my legs and feet ,I think you culd try lying on it on a sofa cant see it being a massive problem ,you need to have the blanket set on the highest setting as it does not get all that warm bit of a let down on the heat to be honest

Q: What is the energy consumption at each setting?

25w per setting. There are 6 settings, and the maximum number 6 uses 150w, giving you 6.66 hours of use for 1kwh of electricity (due to be around 34p per kWh as of October 2022). Obviously cheaper to run for more hours on a lower heat setting. We calculated 20 hours for 34p on number 2 and 10 hours for 34p on setting number 4.
