Likely PVC. Not silicone, but the wires are much more supple and flexible than their Pomona counterparts. I've had a couple sets for about 4 years and reach for these first. They have not suffered sudden internal losses of continuity like 3 of my Pomonas have. Ordering more sets . . .

NO, they are only 18AWG wire good for 5Amps only
