This smoke alarm was not difficult to install. It's a hard-wired system, which is great, plus it has a back up battery compartment that is on the front of the smoke alarm which makes it very easy to replace. The testing of the alarm is relatively straightforward and the alarm gives a very loud, piercing sound, which is good.

I used this product in a second home. Easy to install and the price point was fair. I would recommend this product

Very easy to install and well engineered with good documentation. The front battery compartment makes battery replacement an easy process but unfortunately I utilized that feature too much during the installation process. Ordered 7 units and replaced a couple of them on the first day. Woke up to chirping at 2AM from a bad battery. It measured 8.44V. I checked all 7 and found 3 bad ones out of the batch. The good ones measured from 9.41V to 9.88V. Be prepared to check and replace the "new" batteries before installing. All units had the same manufacturing date of 18-Oct-2021.

Great replacement fire alarm!

We had three firemen answer our alarm call thinking it was are alarm but it turned out to be our fire alarms! They said one of the alarms was bad and it started a relay between all the alarms…they said to replace our Kidde alarm!

These were super easy to install since I had the same model already installed.. They have the same wiring harness and design so it was just a matter of twisting the old unit off the installation plate, unplugging it, removing it, then plugging in the new one, and twisting it on. No need to call an electrician this time. I already had two and they went out within in an hour or so of each other. I called the company about using the 10 year batteries in them and they said definitely do not use them. They come with a 2 year battery and they sale them at Walmart for a very reasonable price.If you’re getting these for the first time, the wiring harness included is a definite plus!

These were the perfect replacement for our older Kidde detectors. I only had to unplug the old ones and plug in the new ones and they all worked great. They even still all go off when one goes off.
