nothing
Another Bedhead release which conveys the following things:1.) massive ennui2.) despair3.) crushing worldviewWhile the aforementioned things are nothing new to the modern rock cannon, few bands will ever be able to capture that sense better than Bedhead. There is nothing inventive or "new" or transcendent about these songs, technically, but these are definitely songs which stay with you. Unless, of course, you're me, in which case you left the CD in an old girlfriend's car and she stole it on you forever. Long live Bedhead.

"Slow Core" goes to church
I don't really remember why I picked this album up 5 years ago. I am glad that I did get it. Taking their Velvets/Galaxie 500 stylings and doing a live set in a church (a la Cowboy Junkies), Bedhead really shines. There are times even when the album really does reminds me of the Cowboy Junkies' "Trinity Sessions", but maybe it's all in my head. The music here seems to have more depth than some of their studio albums, perhaps because of the live nature of the recording. Highlights include "Disorder" and "What I'm Here For."
