Great scourers that are good for the planet

I bought this for two reasons: to use as a scrubbing aid during washing up and to act as a plant protector for young plants. As a scrubber, they work very well. As a plant protector against slugs, they also work well and no slugs went near the young plants. My only concern is the cost per item.

Have not actually used it yet, purchased for cleaning garden tools, as copper the filings will not rust whereever they fall, unlike steel wool

Got onto these scrubbing balls during the pandemic as I found the standard ones were too abrasive so thought I would give copper a go and the difference is noticeable. Not to be confused with the cheap copper looking ones that leaves residue and rust colour all over the place these are the proper ones with no fuss or mess - hence the higher price!

I originally bought this as a copper anode for some electroplating that I was doing but found that they also make a superior scourer and remove deposits that steel wool and synthetics do not touch.

These copper scouring pads are fantastic at removing stuck on foods, (including stubborn and burnt on foods), and hasn't to date, (I'm writing this review on 24/03/2014), scratched, or caused damage on my pans, dishes cutter, (I haven't used on [drinking] glasses), ect!They work better than the standard wire wool, [steel], that can be used!Unfortunately they don't keep there shape for more than 3-4 heavy use, but despite this, (so long as you gather the strands up a bit), still do just as good a job, and I have only just thrown the first one away, (I have not needed to use the second one, until recently, and there are three in a pack), I have severe osteoarthritis, in both hands, so usually, find it a lot harder to use these types of things!The main problem that I found was trying to grip the loose strands, but I do with most things anyway!

Very happy to be able to buy recyclable scouring pads. They're also good for stretching round plants to keep the slugs off - and they don't rust. I would buy them again

These are far better than all the fake copper pads because they do not rust!
