Worked as described very well... with an added bonus! When you push the red and blue buttons at top at the same time, it turned on our bluetooth enabled cd-radio player. Every time! So that's fun!

Ordered this for my 9 year old daughter and she loves it. Loves the Bluetooth feature and the colors.

It's a simple attractive night light and you can leave it plugged in via standard usb cable. I did not know that was an option, so it stays on without discharging. I have a Christmas tree that operates on the same concept, so I wanted a fiber optic light for year round use. It cycles through various colors and has a remote control, unlike the LED Christmas trees. This is actually more expensive than the Christmas trees, but you're not limited to enjoying it at Christmas. Deducted a star because the speaker is so low its hard to hear and most likely you can't replace the LED bulb in it. Shipment was relatively quick.

My nephew liked it alot

I didn't care about the music aspect of this light and haven't really tested that part as a result. I was looking for a brighter fiber optic light to use in my classroom to demonstrate some basic light and fiber optic principles. This one worked well but the light in the base can overwhelm the fiber optics, too. Still, it visibly showed what I needed it to do unlike another version I tried that was too dim unless you were in a really dark room. So this is an acceptable 4 stars for me.

The speaker itself works perfectly fine, but I just cannot recommend this given the experience I had with the remote provided. It didn't work even with brand new batteries, and regardless of which brand of batteries it kept getting hot right in the middle and smelled strongly of burning plastic.
