Q: Can you use this arrestor on the Ham Bands above 10 Meters (UHF & VHF) without screwing up the SWR?

Hi, when i was building my base setup for my house, they suggested i get one, but have my swr hooked up to check for any surges, for a better answer contact ham radio outlet,www.hamradio.com, they can get all the answers for you, and who to contact for more info.

Q: can this lightning arrestor make your swr reading go higher or will it make a big difference?

It should make no difference. I have one installed and does not affect my VSWR. It is a straight through. A loose connection would affect the VSWR.

Q: What type of wire do I use to ground it

I used a single strand of 10 gauge copper wire.

Q: What is the second screw for? Is it for mounting?

it is an additional ground screw
