ALTRA Men's Paradigm 6 Road Running Shoe

Awesome shoes had them for over two years now still going on strong still running 10 miles in them doing great still holding up would recommend to anyone and I’m at 150 pounds

Without a doubt the best shoes out of the box, as if they were custom made!! Supports exactly where you need it without inserts, firm cushion to absorb shock. I'm a walker with bunions and they stop the pronation in comfort. Wish they had regular shoes like this!

So this is going to be an extensive review. I usually wear orthotics due to one foot with a high arch and the other is almost being flat. I walk/run between 60 and 110 miles each week. Most running shoes have a pointed toe box. Not the Paradigm 6. The roomy toe box is extremely comfortable. It's the most comfortable shoe I have ever warn. I put in crazy miles and tend to pronate. This leads to hip pain and eventually knee pain. My maiden Trek with these shoes was 10.6 miles. I felt great afterwards. Normally my feet are after a 10 miler. Not the case. I did not wear any orthotics. I did feel a little hip pain during cool down, so I will be putting high arch orthotics in for next outing. Having two different arches affects the mechanics of the hips and the knees. Moving on to the heel. The sits nicely, almost like it is sitting in a cup. There is superb ankle support. I took the shoe over some rocky terrain and my ankles always felt secure. I don't like lacing my shoes tight. I use a slipper spoon to to get into my shoes. Even so my foot did not shift once.I would recommend these shoes to anyone looking for high performance and light weight without sacrificing comfort and stability. I don't right many reviews, but these shoes are worthy.

Very supportive and comfortable. However i also use my own custom made arch supports and they are noisey inside these particular shoes.

They are gorgeous and feel so comfy. I ordered one size up to a 9 and they are perfect. Wide toe box, no squishing, and plenty of side foot support with the guide rails. Amazing for running.

Altra used to bill its products as having a wide toe box, to provide for more natural foot movement. This is no longer the case. You can tell by the photos that the toe box of this shoe is no wider than most other shoes. One photo is with my foot in the shoe, the other is with the shoe empty. Note how my foot bulges out of the right side, overhanging the sole underneath. This is why I normally order wide sizes. The Altra shoes I've worn in the past were always roomy and comfortable for my wide foot.After finding this shoe doesn't fit the way other Altra shoes have in the past, I visited Altra's website. Altra now sells shoes with three different foot shapes (widths): original, standard, and slim. This particular Altra shoe is a "standard" foot shape. If you're looking for an Altra shoe with a wide toe box you need one with the "original" foot shape. For some reason Altra did not include this information on the Amazon selling page. What's more, I looked at its Amazon page for the Altra VIA Olympus, and it lists that shoe as "slim." This is incorrect according to Altra's website, which says the VIA Olympus is "original."I'm returning these Altra Paradigm 6 shoes and ordering a pair of VIA Olympus. Watch for my review of those when I get them.

I have a left foot bunion and these were the best solution to the bit narrow 8.5 in womens and the size 9 in womens is unavailable....bring back this design...torin 7 not the same.
