Perfect. Second set. First one lasted from age 8-12

Sturdy and durable
I got the purple color and it is a little darling than the picture, like an indigo. The gear is easy to adjust to your size and it doesn’t break. However the knee pads get scratched if you slide on them.

Constant repairs
We purchased this almost exactly one year ago. In less than 3 months the strap holding the knee pad on one broke. We contacted Mizuno who offered a one time warranty replacement. They sent us a new set of shin guards and we boxed up the old set after gluing and sewing it together for a backup. It's a good thing we did. Since then we have had to repair the replacement sets and and the backup sets multiple times...all for the exact same problem. Friends of ours had the exact same problem with this set. The pads otherwise hold up well, but it would not be a fun time to fix these in the middle of a tournament. I would recommend keeping super glue or fabric glue with you. They may be fine for a recreation league set but I would not recommend for travel ball.
