For Baking and Snacking :)
Sweet and tasty. They melt nicely in baked goods. We did not have the melty/clumpy issue with the packages on arrival. They were in good condition - but then again, the weather was cool when we ordered them. It might be wise not to order meltables when outdoor temps are high.

Delicious, but don't expect them to taste like chocolate!
Carob chips get a bad reputation only because people are disappointed that they don't taste exactly like chocolate! But these guys are a treat in their own right. They have a warm earthy flavor that doesn’t try to imitate chocolate and that’s exactly why they’re so good. Enjoy them for what they are, and you’ll find them absolutely delicious.

My kids love it!!!!
I did not know how toxic chocolate was till I visit for the first time a holistic Dr. I did not know what Carob was either. I found out also that the low sugar and fat content also makes it a great dietary addition. When my kids ask me for “chocolate chip” pancakes, I cook for them Carob chips whole wheat pancakes 😊. Carob is naturally sweet, it can lower your cholesterol levels, it’s an antioxidant, improves mood, etc etc etc. while chocolate is fully processed in order to be sweet. If you are a mom that is looking for healthy options for your kids or family or your self. This chips are wonderful. 💕

Great
These taste great. I'm on a low acid diet so chocolate is a no go, but this is a great replacement. I loved the taste in homemade granola recipe I made! They didn't even melt during shipping which was shocking. Had a great freshness date and everything. Will purchase again!

My chocolate-allergic child loves these.
My son has multiple allergies, including chocolate. He would see his friends eat chocolate and get so sad. So I found this as an alternative and it has worked out well. I have bought several candy molds with Easter, Christmas, and Valentines shapes and I melt these chips down and create treats for him. It’s messy and you have to be careful not to over- or under-heat it but it works once you get the hang of it. He also eats them just as they are sometimes or I use them in cookies. This company also makes a powder you can use just like cocoa powder for cakes, etc. These chips are expensive but they last a long time because I only use them for my son’s stuff. The rest of the family prefer real chocolate. Treats made with these chips are among the few foods my sensory, allergic child gets excited about. So to me it’s worth a few extra dollars and a little extra work, and I’m grateful for this option!

Great chocolate alternative
I accidentally bought these thinking they were low sugar, oops they definitely are not, that said I happen to work with a young man who can't have chocolate due to the high copper content so I began making him cookies with them since he can have carob. He loved them! So I guess it was a happy accident!

Not able to award negative star, beyond disappointed
I have been using the same chocolate chip recipe since 1973 and NEVER had a problem. I can no longer eat chocolate and since I use Chatfield ground carob I felt I would be able to once again have something crisp to eat as opposed to soft food. Boy was I wrong. The first doz and a half oozed right off the cookie sheet and made a mess in the oven. Got that cleaned up and figured add a little more flour and use a smaller 1tsp scoop. WRONG AGAIN! Same outcome and the rest of the batter, which makes 9doz cookies in the trash. Just to be certain, I asked my landlady if she had two bags of choc chips, she did. Using MY ingredients, my recipe and her chips, 9 doz perfect cookies that her family gets to eat. All I wanted was a cookie, I’m on a soft food diet and I NEED to chew something. I’m literally in tears writing this.
