Q: How carcinogenic are the fumes? I’m skeptical of your claim that these produce "no toxic fumes." That’s utterly impossible.

Anything that burns can be toxic if you inhale it excessively. This incense does not use chemicals in its production so you won't be breathing those chemicals in they tried to keep the materials they are made of as natural and pure as possible for something that is meant to be burnt.

Q: Do these smell similar to the Paine's balsam fir incense sticks?

No - the Paine's ones smell like you have a fire in the fireplace (kind of "smokey"), whiile these have a little more "flavor" to them. They smell a little less like burnt wood - but they're very pleasant.

I just bought a new pack that arrived today and actually counted them. There were 102. I don't know how many were in the previous pack I bought because I already used a bunch of them, but it had to be about as many. Not bad at all for the price! Considering you pay $3 for a pack of 20 or 30 at a given retail outlet and 90% of the time, I can't stand the smell of those ones. These ones have a really pleasant scent!
