Bob Ross Scratch Artist Paperback – April 5, 2022

I wound up liking this scratch art book more than I thought I would. I have never done scratch art before, and it's a nice meditative practice. The book is beautiful and provides the back stories behind some of the Bob Ross paintings. If you don't want to see the finished painting first, work backwards in the book. It's a nice surprise to see the picture revealed.

This makes a great passtime. And the pictures are beautiful.

You almost have to scratch the entire page to have it really show the pretty picture. Which is okay, but not a typical scratch art. Perhaps there are some people out there who are more artistic and can choose what to scratch and not to scratch and still have it look good. However the bad thing about this product, is that the scratching produces a very thin dust by-product, and you can't even breathe nearby the picture once some of it has been scratched off without that stuff blowing around. So that also is different from a typical scratch art picture. Most of them have a more clay like covering, that comes off in crumbs rather than dust. I have another set by this manufacturer, so I was aware of this, but I wanted the pictures, so I went ahead and bought it. But just beware. Also, the sets are a little harder to scratch then many other brands of scratch art, and also it is easy to scrape through the actual picture.

Bought for my son last Christmas because he was a fan when he was little. He definitely loved it.
