I thinknit depends on the size of your child. I bought this for my 3 year old. She loves it. She is average size. My 20 month old kept stealing it from her so I bought another one (he is a VERY large 1 year old (tall) who can wear 2/3 t tops and 2 t Bottoms (he's like 100th%for height). And then my 5 year old steals them both. It's a tad small for him but he still loves them and rides them a lot. He's like average height. All three love them.

Q: Is it battery operated bike?

No. Foot to floor. Honestly this is one of the best purchases we have made for our three sons. Other people have bought one for their own children after playing with ours.
