Q: I can not get the rake to open full size???

I've had no problem with mine. I've used it full open or partial, depending on what I'm doing. There is a button on the bottom of the rake handle that you have to push & hold in to extend the handle full size. About 17" above that bottom hole, theres another one, just pull the handle out till it snaps in place in that 2nd hole.I hope this helps.

Q: Last picture looks like the rake fully collapses. Is this the case? I have a small opening in kayak storage this has to fit through.

That last picture is what it looks like from the side when it is is collapsed. The third picture shows how wide it is when it is collapsed. It is 30.5 inches long and 7.5 inches wide at the bottom when fully collapsed. Hope this helps!

Q: Are the tines flat or round like wire

the tines are round where they slip through the mechanism of the rake's yoke, but they flatten out at the tips. this is an excellent tool. i'd give it a "5 stars" today. sturdy, many uses

Q: How do you adjust the width?

The tines automatically widen or narrow to the desired length when extending the shaft. Example: image shows fully retracted and also fully extended, but you can stop extending the shaft anywhere in-between when a desired length/width for the tines is reached. I hope this helps.
