Solid cast brass!
These are beautiful and function well. I bought one to see the quality and now have over 30 replacing all the old latches on my sailboat.Like I said they work well but I have taken the most used ones apart and polished the internals then added some lithium grease. Now they are perfectly smooth.These are cast NOT stamped, that’s why the cost is more, it’s much better then stamped.I will be buying more.Jim
