Must have for a data enthusiast
This book covers all the aspects about data science and if you just started your journey in data science and feel like I'm learning new things everyday and still confused how this all comes together then look no further this is the ultimate guide. I got this at the end of my Masters in Data Science and this for me is kind of a summary of what I learnt during the masters and also how this can be used in real business settings.

Great refresher crash course before interview
I used this book to prepare for a recent data scientist interview. It was very comprehensive and covers many topics including chapters on preparing CV / resume, good portfolio projects, behavioural interviews, probability, statistics, machine learning, coding / data structures and algorithms, SQL and database design, product sense and case studies. Thing I liked the most was the breadth of the book. Only negative I can think of is I would have liked to have seen to prepare is a real worked example of a take-home challenge in the book, although acknowledge where the authors state they were difficult to incorporate into the book due to differing from company to company, being long and needing a real dataset.

Great book to land you dream data science job !
The book covers a wide range of topics including how to write a good cv, how to build kick ass portfolio projects, how to pass the behavioural interview and how to get the technical skills required in order to get into data science. I really like the fact that the authors give a lot of non technical tips that you would never find anywhere else and that can really make you stand out during the interview process. If you're looking for a Data Science position, then I strongly recommend the book !

Excellent for a high-level overview in what you need for interviews
Excellent book for preparing you for interviews by giving a high-level guide covering all the aspects you'll need to land a job in data science. The most dangerous thing is not knowing what you don't know and this book has revealed many bits of knowledge I'm missing and which areas I need to look into more. Highly recommend this book, especially for people looking to break into data science for the first time!

Great Great book !!
One should really read this book, it's good for revising your concepts and clearing your doubts. Most of the imp. topics mentioned in the book are explained simply and shortly. I would really recommend this book to everyone who are preparing for interviews in DS/DA. The best part about this is, it isn't too long to read. Thank You Nick and Kevin for such an ace book.

Too many errors
I applaud the authors’ effort in writing this very useful guide to data science interviews, but I must echo the criticism of other reviewers - I spotted a coding error within 10 minutes of reading it. Readers buy the book because they are not yet experts in the topics, and if misled the errors can just make them miss out on their dream jobs. If the authors are serious about helping job candidates, they really need to publish an errata on their website asap.

This is a great book to broaden your scope in Data Scientist in addition to assisting with interview preparation. This is my second purchase (gifted the first to a colleague) and its always refreshing to read it. Advise: Read each chapter and follow up with reading the topics in detail from statistical books like Introduction to Statistical Learning etc.

It's my personal mission to help young people to find their dream job and to succeed in their career. During the years I was asked like zillion times "What would I be asked during the interview?" And believe it or not these are not just juniors. As a technical person I always start talking about algorithms, data structures, logic.... But this book gave more. What I really like about it the first chapters where you will find valuable tips how to behave during the interview, how to write your CV which will land you to your interview. Believe it or not even with internet I constantly get CVs that are not even OK. One of my favourite topics Statistics and Probability is covered in good level of depth. I like the sample tasks and the explanations. I really don't like books with no answers. How would a junior know if he is right or wrong. My personal opinion is that the book will serve you only good. I hope to see a new and bigger editions with more sample tasks. I will for sure recommend it to my students as well. All of them are dreaming for Facebook and Google careers! Great work guys! Thanks!

Great book! Even as an experienced Data Scientist in government, I used this book to land a job in the private sector. The transition was daunting as the math is the same but there is a perspective shift and Ace the Data Science Interview helped me bridge this gap and feel more confident in my interviews. Thank you Kevin and Nick!
