Q: what weight is this item?

I didn’t weigh the hairdryer but I found it was too heavy for me as I have arthritis in my arms so I had to return. Good product otherwise.

Q: Does the cold shot button stay compressed for it to work? Or do you have to constantly hold the button for it to work?

You can’t switch on the cold shot as such, it only stays on while you push it down (as you assumed). Hope that helps.
