Q: are these sterile or not??? "product features" says "non-sterile gauze bandages". "product description" says "set is fully sterilised".

To say they are sterile without providing some rationale or justification is a waste of everyone's time. Apparently, D&H has revised their description to include the statement: "Our stretch gauzes are fully sterilized before use so you can concentrate 100% on your healing process." It is under the second bullet entitled "Safe And Sound" ... in the item's description above. Would appreciate knowing if anyone has found a good sterile wrap that is made in the USA. I am putting together first aid kits for emergency preparedness and need some gauze bandages like this. However, I am sooo tired of everything being made in China! If I find one I'll come back and post if for anyone who is interested. Stay healthy and BE PREPARED.

Q: is it self adhesive, or do i need pins? thanks.

HiThe Bandage is not self adhesive however it does have a propensity to stretching and hence can be tightened very well giving a "adhesive like" effect

Q: what is a density of fabric?

I take it to mean the closeness of the weave. More fabric per square inch because there are more strands of fabric woven more closely together. I have also found that this denser weave leaves very little, if any, strings behind stuck to dried medication on a wound.

Q: Is the length of four yards per roll the stretched or unstretched length?

I believe it is unstretched, but of course you naturally stretch it a bit when you wrap it on. We use these to hold a gauze pad over a foot wound, and they work well for that. They are thinner than most similar rolled bandages (e.g., Johnson & Johnson, Curlex, etc.) but they are fine for holding a gauze pad in place. They are flexible and work well for irregular shapes such as a foot. they cling well enough to,stay in place while you add something to hold it, such as tape or an elastic wrap.
