Yes, snaps on easily. I secure with a zip tie, just for extra security.

No sure about lense type There is a way to tether, I use zip ties.

Q: Will a dive light effect the filter on the photos? I was planning on adding a suptig light on the camera for scuba diving.

I have no idea, sorry. I didn't purchase a dive light.
