No need setup ring, and you just attach wide angle lens on macro lens, you can get wide angle lens effect.

Q: My not-sony camera lens is 52mm, threaded for lens filters. Will the threaded lens fit into other standard threaded lenses that are 52mm?

Generally, I would say yes. However, it's hard to give a definitive answer since you could have some weird thread pitch that is uncommon. Having said that, I find that other 52 mm threaded accessories screw onto the ulanzi adapter without a problem. Good luck!
