Love it! Got the job done!!
This is the second one of these I've had. The first one died after about 10 minutes. I do not know why. So they gave me a quick return and replacement and the second one that came works absolutely wonderfully. I highly recommend this product! An ingenious design.

Wish I found it sooner
This thing is so perfect. I had a Toshiba SSD and a 3.5 one that needed the power plug adapter, both work simultaneously, fast for how much is getting transferred through the USB 2.0. no needed drivers, read and write, seems solid with good transfer storage. Please note, the SSD get hot.

SATA to USB 3.0
Only has one side for each type so you cant connect more than one SATA drive as external at a time. Thought it wasn't working at first but it just took my windows 10 pro x64 a while to recognize it. unplug USB and plug back in and reboot works great now and I have a way to make use of some of the drives i had laying around for extra storage and backups. May not have the features of some of the more expensive adapters but im a simple person and it does what I need it to for a great prive.

Sadly only worked 25 percent.
The goodFirst off as some one said you get no light when you turn it on you do if you have a drive connected. I had 7 smaller 2.5 drives SATA DRIVES worked no problems the IDE drives that took a a few times to come up could be the drive has been sitting.THE BAD5 of the 3.5 drives I have could not be read they seem to power up but that’s it had 2 SATA 3.5 and 3 IDE 3.5 all were a fail. And yes I know the drives are good.Out come sending it back it’s nothing mor then a glorified external adapter I had been using one that a pulled out an external drive. And it works fine. I May try another one from another company.I gave it one star because it simply did not work on any 3.5 drives. So yes it half worked but I really did not need it for 2.5 inch SATA DEIVES I needed it for 3.5 IDE and SATA and that don’t work.

Mixed Bag - EYOOLD SATA/IDE to USB 3.0 Hard Drive Adapter Review
My experience with the EYOOLD SATA/IDE to USB 3.0 Hard Drive Adapter has been a mixed bag, with both positive and negative aspects to consider. On the positive side, the adapter offers a convenient and versatile solution for connecting SATA and IDE hard drives to a computer via USB 3.0. This is particularly useful for data recovery, transferring files, or repurposing old hard drives. The adapter's compatibility with both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives is a convenient feature, allowing for versatility in handling different types of hard drives. The plug-and-play functionality is appreciated, as it eliminates the need for additional drivers or complex setup procedures. I found it relatively straightforward to connect the adapter and access the connected hard drive on my computer. However, my experience was marred by certain drawbacks. While the adapter worked as expected for smaller 2.5-inch drives, I encountered difficulties when attempting to connect larger 3.5-inch drives. The adapter struggled to provide a stable and consistent connection for these larger drives, resulting in intermittent disconnections and file transfer errors.Additionally, the build quality of the adapter left something to be desired. The plastic casing felt somewhat flimsy, and I questioned its durability over time, especially with regular use.The adapter's performance also varied depending on the specific drive being connected. While some drives worked seamlessly, others exhibited slower data transfer speeds or occasional glitches.Furthermore, the lack of clear instructions or user guide made it challenging to troubleshoot issues or fully utilize the adapter's capabilities. In summary, the EYOOLD SATA/IDE to USB 3.0 Hard Drive Adapter offers a convenient solution for connecting SATA and smaller IDE hard drives to a computer via USB 3.0. However, the adapter's compatibility and performance issues, especially with larger 3.5-inch drives, detract from its overall effectiveness. The build quality and lack of comprehensive instructions also contribute to the mixed experience. While the adapter has its merits, the issues I encountered lead me to a three-star rating. I hope that future iterations can address these concerns to provide a more consistent and reliable solution for users seeking to connect and access hard drives via USB.

proved invaluable in getting files off of HDD from non-working computer
I had an iMac 27 that stopped working but all my files were on the HDD. I had to gain access to the drive (of course) so I had to do some disassembly of the Mac but I had no way to hook up the drive to USB so I could use another computer to save the files to another drive. This device worked great. True "plug and play". I think there are many different options for drive connections (this one on the Mac was 3.5" SATA). I have not tried the other options but I was very happy to access my files and save them. Proved to be a lifesaver for sure.
