What if
We're meant to face the obstacles, reflect and allow for the feelings, and then let them go at the foot of the cross in order to see what might be possible? Beautifully written book that led me to that place, knowing in the end, what is possible. All things for His good.

Amazing!!!
Mark brings to life the what if possibilities of God and his promises to us. His take on The Great Eight is mesmerizing and beautifully written, couldn’t put it down honestly. I have a new found appreciation for Romans chapter 8 and now read it almost everyday, finding new things to take from it every time I read it.

If only it could be longer!
I enjoyed the book. Mark has a great writing/teaching style and I have enjoyed reading his previous books as well. My reigning favorite is All In, followed by Wild Goose Chase, and then this one. Probably they just spoke to my individual journey louder, so it is very personal. I do wish he didn't have a tendency to recycle/rehash examples. I wish he would find new territory on each work, as others mentioned. I know he is busy, but I sometimes wonder if he does that as a means to get to the needed page requirement/or time allotment of a manuscript. I want to gently say, there has to be more, or different material available from his life to use. His insights are interesting and I do learn a lot, and with each book, I think his heart for people to truly work on their relationship with the LORD always shines through.

I’ve fallen in love with God all over again
Mark Batterson has nailed it once more! I’ve fallen in love with God all over again, this time with the God of "what if." His newest book takes us on a wild ride through the eighth chapter of Romans. Make no mistake; IF is not a tedious theology lesson, but a well-grounded, encouraging pep talk on one of the Bible’s richest chapters.Mark’s casual, conversational style makes his books hard to put down, but IF is so chocked full of wisdom and truth, we can’t race through it. Savor this smart read, rich with illustrations, one marvelous chapter at a time. We’re invited to take a journey with God and if we do, this book is a game-changer.I love the format: thirty chapters, each focusing on a verse and ending with a thought-provoking question. There’s something for everyone, both young and seasoned Christians, as well as the one seeking a relationship with the triune God.My first read was like a shot of spiritual adrenaline; I’m now looking at life with fresh expectancy as I peer through the lens of "what if." I wish I would have had this important book in my earliest days as a Christian when I knew nothing about practicing spiritual disciplines.I’m excited to re-read this great book with a small study group and am so eager to see how it changes lives.

READ THIS BOOK! Mark Batterson's best work yet!
I cannot contain my excitement about If: Trading Your If Only Regrets for God's What If Possibilities. This book is rich, full of Godly wisdom, practical application, and expounds on the "Great Eight"--the eighth chapter of Romans. Romans 8 has never been more clear and applicable. This book is as encouraging as it is amazing. My favorite chapter is Chapter 9 on the Anchoring Effect. As Christians, is Jesus and the Word of God our anchor? Do we allow worldly things and pleasures to be our anchor in this drifting world, or are we keeping our eyes focused on the cross?Mark seems to cover the gamut of Christian living in If--justification, the importance of prayer, loving others, fighting the enemy, fasting and other spiritual disciplines, imputed righteousness, to name a few. And as he discusses those important topics, he gives memorable examples and practical applications to make his points clear.I know this book was God-ordained to be placed in my hands. Let it be placed in yours as well, and let If change your life.
