EXCELLENT TOOL: Quiet, powerful, well made.
I’ve been a lifelong automotive enthusiast, craftsman, wannabe artist, etc. Along the way I’ve purchased many tools, some good and many others mediocre or bad. This angle cleaner, polisher is my first one and I love using it. It works amazingly well and is a delight to use. My only disappointment is I waited way too long to buy one. No more scraping gaskets or buffing off rust with my arthritic fingers. Oh and in case you’re wondering, I am not an endorsed customer or a lying 🐂💩 AI program. This review is my first one ever submitted on Amazon and the real deal.

Efficient, Quiet, and More-than-Likely Reliable
Aircat continues to impress me! My two impact guns have been working great since 2013, and I expect this fine angle grinder to do no differently. I bought it in December, 2017, so it has yet to stand any test of time, but if my other two Aircat tools are any evidence, it certainly will. The angle grinder's trigger has a short throw, but you can still feather it and get variable speeds if you don't want to start it spinning at full bore. It's great for both grinding and cutting, and as a mechanic in Minnesota, I do a lot of both, thanks to the ridiculous amounts of rust we get out here. Half of the suspension components I replace need the bolts/studs cut on account of that rust seizing up the nuts on them halfway up the thread, and this tool has been up to the task every time. It spins fast enough that I don't feel any need to press hard enough that it'd bog down, and I haven't had it bog down during a cut, yet. Another thing worth noting is how quietly this thing runs. My co-workers have commented on it several times, and been surprised when I tell them how much I spent on it. It may be a budget air tool, but this isn't the noisy Chicago Pneumatic grinder your shop will have on hand. I can't recommend Aircat's tools enough. As a mechanic who doesn't want to take out a mortgage every time he needs a new tool, I really appreciate the great combination of quality and low price Aircat continues to provide.

Great trigger, variable speed, and much quieter than others!
I've used a cheap ($15) angle grinder for 20+ years and treated myself to this Aircat because I liked the looks of the trigger. I don't like the pressure blade triggers and this tool is amazing! It is variable speed and a lot quieter than most other air tools.

Nice unit that performs well.
As the other reviews state, this unit is very quiet. I've used many other angle grinders and this one is by far the quietest. It is a well-built unit that is strong and powerful. I have mixed feeling on the trigger when compared to other comparable devices. The trigger mechanism was a major selling point for me. However, it left me a bit disappointed because it is not as easy to use as I thought it would be. All the other grinders have a switch that needs to be flipped in order to use the button on it but this just has a simple button that you pull towards the body of the grinder. The problem is that for prolonged use my hand will get tired trying to hold the button in where on the other units it is easier to use at full speed continuously for longer periods of time. Thankfully I don't use it in those types of situations too often. That being said, overall I'm very happy with the unit.

Great Christmas gift!
Very well made, and comfortable to hold for long periods. Seems to be a little quieter than my old grinder, and is definitely more powerful. It’s composite body won’t freeze your hand when used in cold weather either. I used it for about 2 hours the day after Christmas, and it operated smoothly. My daughter got a great price too. I put it on my Christmas list, and it dropped in price before she bought it.

"Is it on yet?"
Haven’t actually used it yet, well only to try it. It is so quiet it made me laugh when I turned it on! I bought this for my metal artwork, so it will get some serious use, and I hope it holds up. It is my first angled die grinder, as I usually use an electric disk grinder. There seems little comparison in the feel and size. This one is smaller and much lighter, and I hope it will be easier to use and less fatiguing. The finish on it is superb, and comparable to any top brand (Snap-On) tool. It has a look and feel of a high quality tool, and I hope the internals are even half as good…! But the best thing is when you put the air on and spin her up, it is so dam quiet! I am a stickler for personal protection gear, having taught health and safety, so I obviously expected a shrill that would have me reaching for the ear muffs, but no…. you could actually use this without them. On saying that, any prolonged use would be better with some hearing protection of sorts. To sum up, I have to say I am delighted so far with my purchase. I’m glad I did a bit of research before settling on my first die grinder. Do yourself a favour, DON’T get a cheap one, spend a little more and get this, you will LOVE your decision.

AirCat Grinder - A QUALITY tool!
31 Aug 2023 - A few days ago, I got the AirCat 1/4 pneumatic angle die grinder. I was at the door, waiting for the delivery person. I was anxious to take the AirCat grinder for a test flight. WOW, what an INCREDIBLE tool! Its operation is SMOOTH and QUIET. It is well built, with FANTASTIC QUALITY, COMFORTABLE, and the grip looks fully sealed. The handle grip covers the grinder and on/off switch. If you're undecided whether to buy one... Go ahead and hit the BUY NOW button. You will not regret the purchase. I will buy more AirCat tools!

I haven't used it alot, so I cannot attest to durability, but it seems to be a very nice tool. The sound isn't too much either.

everyone remarks at how quiet it is and how much power it has, never slows down no matter how much pressure you put on it

I am very glad I did not buy a cheaper one. After using this for a few minutes I am blown away by how quiet it is compared to every other angle grinder I have ever seen. With the Roloc attachment , you can quickly add all kinds of different abrasives from mild to wild. I will use this a lot. Hope it lasts, but relative quiet in a tool like this is revolutionary

No doubt on the quality. It runs great, and the fit & finish are top notch. Cheap brands don't even have a grease port for the right angle gear head. However, the trigger switch requires high force. Because of the small diameter body, your hand will get tired real quick. I believe the trigger is pressure-actuated (the air supply keeps the switch open, you have to clamp against the air to close the switch). This is a neat safety feature, but its not very ergonomic.
