Yes, it does. The camera need memory card. The box not included SD card, please kindly noted. For H9R action camera, it is recommended to use 16GB or 32GB micro SD Card with at least a class 10 speed rating.

Q: Could you use this camera to record events (e.g. presentations)?

I wouldn't even try. There is almost NO documentation, no support, camera gets very hot, it shuts off, wifi fails and its very wide angle. This would be the worst choice you could make to record a presentation. A better choice is an inexpensive digital cam corder that has an external microphone input
