Yes, there are two moves that you can do with a Pillbug. The first is that it moves just like the Queen, one space at a time. However, instead of it moving, you can move a piece that is touching the Pillbug by placing that piece on top of the Pillbug and then down beside the Pillbug (one up, one down). Q: is this for hive compact version?

It is called the 'Pocket Version" and yes this is the smaller version of the set, not the regular sized version.

Q: Is the white Pillbug pocket piece the same white as the rest of the white pocket pieces?

Yes. Just bought this and it matches the Hive pocket pieces.
