Plug and play - Brings SNES to the modern Era
The old CRT box TV I had been using for my SNES finally gave out, so I picked this up to give it a try on an HDMI monitor. I searched for awhile for a good adapter, and chose this one based on the metal housing and no need for an additional power supply. It comes with an HDMI cable so you simply plug the adapter into your console and then the HDMI from the adapter to your display, and you're good to go. There is a little switch on it to change between "S-video" or composite output. If your console supports the S-video option, that's the way to go. There is also a tiny red indicator light that turns on when in use. I have this plugged into a 24inch monitor, and feel that the picture quality is quite good. It's definitely better than it's been when using an RCA (red white yellow cord) to HDMI adapter. I did not notice any discernible delay or anything like that, and the colors look good as well. Obviously we're not dealing with a high definition game system here so it won't look as good as SNES games on the Switch or SNES classic edition, but those are emulated and here you're still getting the original, albeit adapted, 30ish year old video signal. The adapter does not have the option to switch from 16:9 to 4:3, but most TVs do if the stretched out image bothers you. I did have a few games where the left side of the screen was slightly cut off, but I think the monitor is causing that and I will eventually have this hooked up to my living room TV. So to conclude I think this is a solid, relatively inexpensive way to play your retro Nintendo consoles on a modern display. I tested it with both an SNES and Super Famicom, and it worked good. There are cheaper options out there and MUCH more expensive ones as well, but this feels like a quality use of $30, in my opinion, and I'm happy with its function, and simple plug and play operation. I will update this review if I ever get my hands on an N64 or GameCube to test out.

Good performer--we are happy with the performance level
Performs well enough, a little fuzzy/washed out, but that could be the old console. It is possible to reverse-mate the plug, so supervise the kiddo's with it. (didn't seem to damage or be damaged by that though). It seems to work just fine and I'm happy with it. It sticks out from the port a little farther than I'd like, but we support the HDMI cable to help reduce stress on the connectors.

Good
It worked no issues. Kinda flimsy in the port. Otherwise does what it says.

Much better than the last brand
The last brand I had made the picture quality super dark. This one is just how I remember playing the GameCube when I was a kid! Bright picture with a switch to increase the picture quality making it more “fine”. Overall I’m completely satisfied and will be using this brand for other gaming systems in the future

Buyer Beware!!!
I bought this hoping to make it easier for me to connect my N64 to my T.V. Sadly, this adapter did not work & I kept getting a "mode not supported" message on my T.V. Also the adapter I got is not the same as the one that was advertised on the listing. The one on the listing is a solid black piece, whereas the one I got is a silver piece with a cable coming off of it. So i'm not even sure if they sent me the right adapter.

Great physical convienience, poor, tinted, and 16:9 streched video
This unit is unfortunately a perfect divide of great physical convenience and technical woes. The unit is light and unobtrusive and powered entirely by the console itself, carrying both audio and video over HDMI. No external usb-c power or 3.5 mm aux audio cable needed. That is what piqued my interest. The console-side video plug is a natural fit, no "death grip" connections here. An adequately long hdmi cable is included in the package. Of its three intended machines I have used a Nintendo 64 and Gamecube and both readily displayed. The device briefly displays the game region and display mode (composite or S-Video) in the top right on start up, and displays a "no signal" blue screen when nothing is received, say when an N64 cart is not reading. There is a physical switch to toggle whether the device is outputting a composite or S-Video signal, though for any kind HD television S-Video would be your go-to. Sounds great, until we get to the video! When comparing Gamecube games, the adapter adds an unnecessary green tint to the image, and provides immediately inferior video quality at 480i compared to even other cheap HDMI dongles I've tried. Adding to this, the advertised 720p upscaling is a stretched 1280x720 that cannot be switched back to 4:3- the one physical switch on the unit that would be perfect for this task is instead dedicated to picking those marginally different display modes. This is unacceptable in the Smart TV era, when some brands no longer include a "force 4:3" option in their TV settings. 3/5 for sheer ease of use.

A steal at the $
The adapter is a steal for the price. The Kaico ppl make a more expensive one for the DOL-001 GameCube, but even after getting that one, I sent it back as this great priced adapter does the same thing. Pay less for the same thing.

Amazing Price Point
This is not the best N64 HDMI adapter. In fact, Kaico sells a double line variant of this product which I did not purchase intentionally. I picked this up because it's cheap and will hold me over until I get my Analogue 3D. With that said, I'm genuinely surprised at how good this little thing is for the price. My brother has a $120 competitor product that I was directly able to compare this too. My brothers device is better, but honestly at this price point it doesn't just get the job done it is pretty competitive to the more expensive products. The SVIDEO option looks great on my OLED screen.
