Q: How long is it useable for? Do you have to replace the pads or the whole device?

I don't think you can replace the pads. You would just buy another one if it wears out. However, it won't wear out for a long time. I have used it several times a week to clean my iPad and phone screens for at least two years with no apparent wear.

Q: Does this work well on screen protectors?

Yes, I have a glass screen protector on my phone and it works perfectly. I make sure to never touch the moist pad of the cleaner and use the lid to tilt the pad so it can slip back into the cap. It really works.

Q: will it clean a 55inch tv screen?

It would but it is pretty small. It is really meant for phones and tablets. The moist pad is about 1 1/2" across.

Q: What does injected mean?

It means that the plastic parts are manufactured using a process in which a special machine uses previously made molds or casts and literally injects a thermoplastic resin into an opening somewhere in it. The molds or casts are always custom built for the job. At times, even a custom machine is necessary to complete the work! When the thermoplastic resin cools down and dries in the desired shape (which is the shape of the mold or cast) it’s now a plastic part ready for either additional manufacturing work (like cutting, drilling, assembly with other parts, etching, or just about any other process to finish the completely manufactured item) or if the production is complete (think little plastic ‘army men’) it will go to QA to ensure quality as maybe something needs to be done to remove any sharp edges before finishing-up with steps like packaging and shipping. A few notes: — The thermoplastic resin pellets used are generally colored and about the size of BB’s. — By using colored pellets, steps like painting could possibly be avoided, thereby making the manufacturing process faster and less expensive. The result is a higher profit for the manufacturer. — The manufacturing steps above are only a very small sample, so I could explain this process without making it overly complicated. Many other steps may be required to necessitate finishing an item. Finally, think of the injection molding process like this: Imagine using a bag of jelly or chocolate to inject through the side of a donut. Let’s run with chocolate for this example and say that we were injecting it while warm. Now, let’s say this chocolate filing retains its shape once it cools back down to room temperature. Once the cooling is done, if you remove the donut around the now solid chocolate, it’ll be the same shape of the inside of the donut! The essential concept is the same in both examples, however the machinery at the factory is probably way cooler! :)
