Q: Looking a bright Makeup light..is this good for the bathtoom

This is NOT a bright light. It is a DULL, WARM LIGHT that illuminates NOTHING. I purchased 2 and sent them immediately back. Do not purchase - a total waste of money. Unfortunately, I do NOT have a recommendation. I am on the hunt for a 5000K bright daylight under the counter light that I can charge and REALLY lights up an area for longer than 10 seconds.

Q: How to keep this light on the entire time

You can not keep it on the entire time. The longest it will stay on is 30 minutes. There is a touch button near the sensor. Tap once - turns off/on, off after 15 seconds of no motion. Double tap - Always on (30 mins). Triple tap - Always off (Tap once to exit) Press and hold - Brightness adjustment

Q: The ceiling in my bathroom is textured does the area need to be smooth for it to stick?

This light fixture is too small for bathroom it is for under cabinet, or maybe small closet . It needs to be smooth surface
