Good price performance ratio
Bought this camera with the specific purpose of monitoring a source of water infiltration under a suspended wooden floor of a rental shop. Although there are many time-lapse cameras at good prices, I could not find any that had a very long battery life and a light source (flash or similar) that could be used in complete darkness. We had to monitor the underfloor space while the shop was being used, so we had to avoid any disruption, noise, or interference with the shop. Also, single-shot pictures would not suffice to check the flow and source of water, the time-lapse video would be the best way to understand the problem. So far I have put the camera twice, two weeks per stretch taking pictures every 2 minutes. The camera has not had any issues, the light has worked as expected, and the videos have been key to understanding the situation. Video resolution is fine for the purpose; transfers to the PC have not had any issues either. The casing of the camera is extremely rugged and does not need any extra protection. Some reviewers have commented about the poor UI menus; personally, I have found them simple enough and without useless features. The UI is not very straightforward, but it is easy to get used to after a while. Battery life is great, a projected six months battery life takes the stress out of being let down by an interrupted video. Happy customer!

Unbelievably awful
Took a chance on this camera to capture our house build, and played with it for a while before we started construction. I had alot of trouble figuring out how to get it to actually record because the instructions leave a fair amount to be desired and everytime I tried it recorded nothing, but thought I had finally figured it out after finally getting several successful short term recordings.Placed it on our lot to capture dirt work and a few days later came to get the footage only to find there were no recordings. Took it home, checked settings, tested it, worked fine. Put it back on our lot to capture the placement of slab forms only to find no recordings a few days later. Took it home and tested again, got it working, thought I had figured it out. Placed it again the day before slab pouring. Tried to have faith in it (my mistake) and left it all the way through the majority of the framing, and just discovered after pulling the SD card (always formatted IN THE CAMERA ITSELF prior to attempting a recording) that it recorded just thon slab pouring day until randomly quitting at 8:36 pm and never recording anything else. So I bought this for one purpose and it completely failed me, and I missed my chance to capture a time lapse of our house being built because of this piece of garbage. There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to whether it works or not. I'm extremely upset and wish I could at least get my money back but it's past the return window. Oh, after leaving it for 3 weeks (remember it didn't record anything past 8:36 pm the first day... less than 16 hours of recordings on a 512GB SD card which should hold about 30 days' worth based on my test videos), the camera is reporting a low battery. Don't they advertise the battery life is supposed to be good for 6 months of recordings?! I'm using the effing batteries they provided!!I'd end this review by saying "buy at your own risk" but instead I'll just say it'd be easier to simply set fire to your money, because the only thing you'll get from purchasing this camera (besides a lighter wallet) is an errand when you have to drop it at an electronics recycling center. Assuming you're conscientious enough to do that, and you don't just smash it with a hammer to relieve your anger.

Arrived before expected!
I received this earlier that expected and I'm super happy about that! The package and it's contents came neatly packed and in good condition. It came with all the advertised gadgets. Once you read the instruction manual it is easy to navigate the camera. It doesn't have an overwhelming amount of options and the color display is a nice feature. I think this is a perfect tool if you need to document anything to do with construction. I think this could be the perfect tool to capture, daily, weekly and monthly construction projects. I would definitely love a smart phone app that could show you the progress of the capture but for the price it truly is a budget friendly device that has the power to create timelapses in an easy and user friendly way.

Works as described nothing crazy
Technology wise it’s definitely not the latest and greatest, but it also comes out affordable price. I used it to time lapse of a job site for a PowerPoint in case study that works just fine. Picture quality isn’t that great though.

Seems to have a mind of its own, don't purchase
I don't usually write reviews but this one has me really upset. I purchased this product to capture our home being built. I fiddle with it like crazy and after seeing bad reviews from people saying they couldn't get it to work, I thought it was maybe user error because I was able to get videos captured at first. But over time, I would return to the work site to see one or two videos on there from the moment I set it and a week had gone by without continued capturing. Took it home and played with it more and it seemed to be working again so I set it back up at the work site. Two weeks later I went back to check and there was NOTHING on the card at all. Over the course of a few months, I was able to capture some content but it totally missed much of the work on the home build too. I made sure everything was set up properly and being a video professional, I felt confident I was setting it up correctly. But many times there were only 1 or 2 videos on the card.Very frustrating and I'm at the point that I don't even care to use it anymore and it's basically a giant paperweight that wasted my time and tons of batteries. Since the majority of the house exterior is completely, I won't bother worrying about trying to purchase a different camera. I'm just bummed it didn't work out the way I hope, but that seems to be a common complaint about this product. Save your money.
