Howard's Crispy Fried Chicken Skins - Chicharrones de Pollo, 1.5oz, Pack of 4

Although they did arrive in a clear (see through) plastic bag, it wasn’t smashed or crushed. My chips came unbroken, they were delicious as always. This is the only brand I’ve tried, I miss being able to purchase them in brick & mortar; I moved to a state that is heavy on pork. I am so over the moon happy that I can purchase these on line, yes I would recommend & have.

Update: This review was dismissed. Not sure why, but I stand by my words. I would give it a zero if I could. This is, maybe, the nastiest stuff I've ever tried to consume. Tastes like gummy, old grease and is so tough you can barely chew it. I threw it all in the trash. A total waste of money.

The first time I bought these in a 4 pack and the chips were crispy and large pieces. The second time I bought a 4 pack I had to watch the price daily to get them when they dropped to a reasonable price. That second order the pieces were all crushed down to small tid bits and were greasier than the first batch. All chicken skins have a greasy quality to them overall and definitely an acquired taste but the fluctuation in quality with this brand leaves me only buying when the price is low and praying it arrives not appearing as if the packages have been sat on by a large person. Its a shame. Better quality adherence and keeping the price the same would help this company. I hope they read the reviews.

Alot of sodium but good as hell

Ordered 2 4-packs of these, as an alternative to paying skyrocketing prices for other brands. Those that are on keto (or even low carb) this is a great snack and I've ordered from this brand before knowing that it fills the craving without breaking the wallet, or carb count. And they were good (not the best mind you, but you know what you are paying for). The last batch I ordered were packed in a box, to protect it from crushing, but these were packed in a bag that detreated the bags smushed to little bits and pieces. also, even though the dates were not expired, when opening a bag they smelled rancid (the way uncooked chicken smells when left out too long) and after sampling a small amount, it tasted offal as well. Now mind you, I've ordered this brand of chicken skins before, but have never come away ever with this kind of experience. really disappointed.

I hadn't heard of chicken skins until about a month ago and I ordered some of a different brand. I was disappointed for a number of reasons, mainly the price, the quantity and the fact there were only a few bigger pieces and essentially a bunch of crumbs. But the taste was great! I decided to give these a try as they are much less expensive than the other ones. Some of the reviewers here said they were greasy, too salty and some pieces had feathers attached! I haven't found that to be the case so far. They weren't greasy at all and although I wouldn't mind if they were less salty, it's not so bad that it's even worth mentioning other than to contrast with some others' opinions of them; I didn't find the saltiness excessive by any stretch. The 1.5 oz bags cost less each than the 1 oz bags of the other brand, and the delivery was much faster so if I'm going to continue buying chicken skins, it'll probably be these. Chicken skins taste amazing to me. The crunch, the flavor and the expected meat-like taste are unique and hard to duplicate with other snack chips or pork skins. These taste as good as the others I mentioned and there's more of them so...no brainer there. I haven't eaten all four bags yet but the one I did finish had no feathers. There were a lot of small pieces, similar to the other brand, but I'm thinking that might be just the nature of these things. I deducted a star for that anyway because I'd rather have more of the larger pieces. Overall, I like them quite a lot and will probably keep buying them until I get 'burned out' on them or get tired of the price, even though they're less pricey than the other brand. If you've never tried chicken skins, I'd suggest giving them a try. With this brand, if you don't like them, at least you'd be out less money!

I ordered once before and they were great, so this time I ordered double the amount. Every single bag was in date but rancid! I noticed it smelled a bit strange and when I tasted it, there was definitely something wrong. The fried chicken skin was not crispy, it was spongy in texture and tasted really bad. I opened a second bag and it was the same, rancid, spongy, and stale. All 8 bags were bad. Now I can never get this brand again because I can’t trust it.

I was looking for different snacks I can have on Keto and found out about chicken skin chips. Have tried other brands so far which price their bags for way to much for what you're getting. I came across these and thought I would give a try. Just received my box today and brought a bag with me to work. I am currently finishing up said bag as I type this, and can say I am very impressed. The amount you get in the bag is better than the other brands for sure... A girl gotta eat. The chips are a bit oilier than the other brands I have; but the taste is delicious and I will definitely be buying this again. I have seen other comments here talking about their chicken skin being rancid or whatever. I guess I'm lucky to have a good batch! I do wish they had other flavors though. However I am very impressed, and I don't leave reviews for just anyone.
