This is extremely easy to set up. Seriously, no need for instructions but it does include easy to follow step by step visual and written instructions. The metal is very durable, and the color coat is quite attractive. I had wanted the green, but it was out of stock at the time, so I went with the yellow. Either color would work in my house. The yellow is a pale creamy yellow, more neutral than pop of color. I like it, and now I am extra glad to have chosen the yellow.The sisal pad is robust, and attaches well to the metal top. It can be removed easily as it attaches by simple hook and loop material (aka velcro).The height of the contraption is on the short side, but it could be used as an occasional table. If you decide to do that, then there are clips to help keep the platform in horizontal positioning. If your cat ultimately doesnt like this scratcher, then at least it is still functional for use indoors or out.As a scratcher, it can be left in vertical position. Best suited for use up against a door, piece of furniture. Or the sisal mat can be placed on floor, in the open ring, or the metal table top can be placed low, and cat can scratch from that positioning. They include all the options in the product pics!This absolutely looks like, and function like all that is depicted in the description and pics. It is exactly what I expected to receive. Nothing feels cheap. Nice attention to detail with the stabilizer caps when in horizontal position, and the leather piece that also helps stabilize when in vertical position.Now as to whether your cat will like it? That may take time. I sprinkled some cat nip on mine (in pics it can be seen as dark smudges. This is just the cat nip and not any marring of the product), and they haven't gone scratch happy on it yet.So far so good. I'll update if need be. JUst really take a look at the pictures and description-- if it all sounds good to you, then know that is what will/should come to you.

My cat loves to scratch at the sides of my couch. This tucks perfectly under the couch - I have it arranged with the sisal carpeting vertically against the couch and the cardboard horizontally underneath. It's very beautiful and very functional. A little expensive, but there's really not a cuter cat scratching post.However, it is extremely light. Any time Weasel uses it, it pulls out from under the couch and is across the room in 30 seconds. I wish there was a way to fill the metal tubes to add weight. I added magnetic weights to the bottom and the back and it has somewhat helped. Now it takes a few minutes to get across the room.This is expensive for what it is. It is a beautiful cat scratcher (when have you ever heard that?) and perfectly solved my problem. For the price, I wish it was sturdier and heavier.

Not only do I love the way this looks but my cats love it. It’s really sturdy and they really go at it! The size is perfect and doesn’t take away from the rest of the room. It’s really classy looking and will keep our couch from being used as a scratching post! Definitely want another one.

The fabric was put on so that the cat would have to scratch sideways which is impossible- or I suppose I could put the scratcher on the ground sideways, but then it loses its other purpose, and it also wouldn't stay put. In fact it doesn't stay put at all no matter what I did- the screws kept loosening and I kept tightening them, and it was never sturdy enough to withstand a cat scratching it. Bad design unfortunately because it's cute

Super cute, but my cat is not interested in it even with catnip on it. He loves the other traditional cat tree though.

I had this scratching post for 1 year and my cat loved it however they do not sell replacement scratching pads and haven’t been able to find them anywhere. Sad my cat won’t be able to use this anymore.

The media could not be loaded. This product is easy to assemble. My cats love to scratch their paws on this! It is sturdy! I find it super cool all of its features like the double side scratching pad!

Both of my cats love this. They use the base more than the side. Need to find a replacement for the base. Definitely slowed them down from clawing the furniture. Way overpriced as far as I’m concerned tho.

The modern aesthetic and 2-1 functionality really caught my eyes. I love adding furniture pieces to my home that not only elevates the space but also adapts to my 2 cats’ needs. Would recommend to any cat owners to also prevent furniture scratchings - I placed it right beside my sofa once I noticed them getting interested in scratching the sofa and this helped alleviate it. It’s one of the most used products at my home now and very happy with the outcome.
