The product description says the dimensions are 12.2 x 22.1 x 17.8 inches. However, that is not true. The dimensions are more like7 x 4 x 3 inches. This is close but not exact.

Q: how big are the numbers?

The numbers are 2 inches tall. They are more than adequate if you have poor vision like I do.

Q: how do you set the time? Hour and minute

The first button along the bottom is the button to hold down while you press the "hour" button and/or "minute" button to set the alarm. Do the same thing for setting the time. Hold down the "time" (?) button while pressing the "hour" and/or "minute" buttons to set the time.
