Q: Can I use this as a nest for my female rabbits babies?

I got this for my rabbits as well. It's made really well and they didn't try chewing it up. As far as for nesting, I think it would work great for that, however my rabbits wanted to keep jumping on top to sit on it and would squish it in, so that might be a problem if babies are in it.

Q: Is this large enough for a 6.5 lb rabbit to lay in?

I would say so. My New Zealand fits in hers and she’s close, if not more than, 10 lbs. My smaller rabbit loves hers as well and is always in or under it. Hope this helps :)

Q: Is this acceptable for outdoor rabbits (does it absorb water?)

Rabbits do not belong outdoors. They are domestic pets, and suffer horribly from fear of predators. Even a hawk flying by or a raccoon in your yard can give them a heart attack. They suffer from changing weather, and cannot be kept as clean outdoors. Puppy mills were modeled on hutches. Bunnies belong indoors, with lots of room to run and play, and a litter box. Bunnies kept outside cannot be kept under close observation for their fragile health. They are often found twisted in agony, dead because gastric stasis or fly strike were not detected within the first few hours of illness. Please, be kind and humane. Bring them indoors.

Q: Can this be used safely for a bearded dragon?

I happen to have a bearded dragon as well and I don’t see why he couldn’t use this. It’s soft, washable and ample space for a dragon to stretch out in. I did purchase this for my bunnies though but it is suitable for other animals as well.
