Major Hit with the Kids!
My nieces and nephew absolutely loved this! I had fond memories of digging up dinosaur fossils as a kid using a kit like this and given my nieces and nephews interest in dinosaurs I thought they might enjoy it too. Well, I am happy to report that it actually stole the show and was their favorite gift this last Christmas. There were quite a few others gifts that were more expensive than this, and the kids still just wanted to dig up bones. I can't blame them! Highly recommended.

Good gift, the bones of easily broke
Good gift idea. The excavation part was fun. The bones broke when putting together. All in all a good gift for a 1st grader.

Not for every kid
Face this to literally every child for Christmas and bdays since September. My daughter loved it and so did some of her friends (4yr olds) the boys destroyed it in 5 min and just did not have the patience to dig slowly and then a mix group just didn’t want to deal with it. My daughter is still at it since Christmas and is loving. 5 stars because it’s a great activity and educational.

Great gift
Was a birthday gift. Heard it was a favorite.

Better off using a real hammer.
Overall I can’t entirely complain about the product because it was fun breaking apart with my nephew- after adding water to it. It probably took us 2 hours to get things to break apart and the hammer broke within the first 10 minutes and even if it hadn’t of broken there’s no way you can get through this block with the tools given- or with the strength of a 6 year old. I’m 24 and could barely break pieces away myself. We added almost an entire bottle of water to soften the clay which in turn allowed us to find the dinosaur. Not terrible just not AT ALL breakable which is the point of the product. Thanks.
