Great level 2 charger. ( first review)
I am new to EV Cars and purchased a VW I.D.4. I looked on State of Charge on U Tube and educated myself on EVSE. Based on what I investigated on Chargers this seamed to be a good choice. I have been using this EVSE for about 3 weeks and I have no compliments as it does every thing that it said it would do.Cable thickness is .70 inchs (17.7 mm) plug that I ordered is a 14/50 with a 25 foot cable with a very nice carrying case to put in the trunk. It does have the holder, cable hanger and the charging docking station which i was not expecting.I will write an other review in 6 months time to see if it is going OK.I am adding an other review on the Zencar EVSE. I have had this charger for about a year know and it still is charging the VW I.D.4. The only problem that i am having is that when you put it on timer and have it set to 40 amps, when it starts charging it reverts back to 16 amp. I have tried to contact the manufacturer but there is not way to contact them, as there is no E mail or address for this company. So the next charger I purchase will be a company that i can contact for any problem that I have.

Worked as intended, I've been using it 5 nights a week
The charger is very simple to use, the AMP setting and delay setting is very easy to use. It has a nice display that shows what the changer is doing, other chargers I saw a t a higher price didn't include the display. I haven't used the case or the mounting kits. The case looks nice, I haven't used it because I just store it in my garage when it's not being used. The mounting kit is easy to install and use, I used it for 2 months while I was parking in my garage. It charges my Ford Fusion from empty to full in 6 hours over night at the 12 amps setting and has always been ready to go in the morning. I use the delayed start to get the lower price rate after 9:00pm,it's just a few taps on the sensor to adjust the time delay after plugging into my car. I have used this charger every night since I purchased it, about 5 months ago. It still works great with no problems. My charger came with a travel case that I used 1 time to see how it fits, if you have a use for it, I'm sure it would last, it seems durable and keeps it stored nicely and compact. Thumbs up if you're needing a level 1 charger. I recommend this product.

Price is right and charges way faster than my 110v unit
I'm using this with a 2017 Chevy Volt so your milage may vary. Setup was super easy, just needed to run a 240v recepticle with a Nema 6-20. After powering it on, it was ready to go immediately. I initially had some trouble getting the charge connector to latch on the car, but I think it will become easier with time and some wear. My only other complaint is that the kW counter is rolling and resets if the unit loses power, so it's not good for keeping track of total use, but it seems to work great for tracking usage on the day to day.Definitely would upgrade to a 30 or 40A version of this for a full electric, but this one suits my needs very well and at 8A, I can go from empty to full in roughly 8 hours

Works Great - Like More Than the Original
My original car charger crapped out when it got wet even though it was supposed to be rain proof (thanks Chevy). This charger is really good. I like it has lights to indicate what phase of charging it is in (Solid green for ready to charge, rainbow for charging, flashing green for fully charged). Sometimes it can be squirrelly when first plugging it in, but this is rarified. Cord to car also seems very thick and durable and the cord coming from the outlet to the console seems to be well-insulated, not too warm to the touch.

So the Pacifica PHEV is only able to pull 12amp from 110v
I was having a problem getting my van to pull >12amps from this, but I sorted it out with some help. Chrysler limits the 110v pull to 12amps max, it cannot pull 16amp on 110v. Needs to have 220-240v to pull >12amps. I was really hoping to have 30% faster charge times for the van before I finished my "cart" charger which will plug into 110v @16a (1.75kw) to feed a 48v LIFePo4 bank ~10kwh, and this will hook up to a 240v inverter to push ~10amps (2.4kw) to my van almost doubling the current charge of 1.3kw. Hoping when I complete I can share that this helped, in the meantime I will be travelling with it so when I have the opportunity to plug into a 220v or 110v I can charge as fast as possible when out on long trips. (bumped my review up to 4 stars, but really it's not the products fault, I will come back and bump it again when it proves reliable.

Works Great.. ZERO ISSUES
Charger works great and its nice to have a display on the charger. I do have to say something about the "Top Critical Review"... The complaint about it not having a neutral being an issue is COMPLETELY WRONG. In the USA to have 240V and WORK at 240V you need two hots and NO NEUTRAL! with a ground for SAFETY and at 120V its essentially the same connection with one side being hot and the other neutral it is standard practice for 120/240 devices to work in the manner this charger does. The armchair home electrician that wrote the "TOP Critical Review" Needs to actually talk to an electrician before making claims that are going to cause confusion. This charger is safe and works great.

Deceptive product
On paper, this charger was a great buy. Unfortunately, I was sent a unit that did not have a 40 A setting and had a ground fault. The seller apologized for “mislabeling” a lower power model as the 40A unit I purchased and that it was OK to use it with the ground fault. Needless to say, I returned this charger and purchased a charger made in Canada that is high quality and worth the extra $100.

Good item for the price with great features
It's hard to find a L1 charger that tracks usage. I wanted to see how much I was actually using because my HOA charges me a flat fee per month as my carport is not near my unit and is on the power paid for by the HOA. This one does the job. The interface is a little hard to adjust to using and manual could use a minor update to make it clearer, but I did get it to work correctly.
