Worked great on my .300 Win Mag, reaching out to 400yds with no issue.

Fantastic scope for a small rifle.
I put this on my Ruger 10/22 and I love it. It's very clear and accurate. I had no problems zeroing it and it holds zero still after a few hundred rounds. Granted this is on a 22 so it's not getting any big recoil. You have to adjust focus for range out past 200yds if you are over 10X. I could easily see the previous bullet impacts the 500 yard plate we had out there, and all magnifications were clear. Eye relief is good, just not what you see in high end scopes. It's not a Leopold or a Nikon, but for the money this thing is fantastic.

Provided rings NOT "extra-high," cannot use
3*s because I haven't actually used the scope yet. Looked through it in my basement and moved the focus ring, it seemed fine for my purpose (a Ruger Precision Rifle in .22LR), so giving it the benefit of the doubt on the scope itself for now.The rings provided however are too low for the end bezel(not sure if that's the right word?). I'm used to higher end scopes having a parallax adjustment nob in the middle, opposite the windage nob, but on this scope its in line with the tube, wrapped around the 50mm end, making it larger than expected. This might be fine if your rail is taller than your handguard/barrel, but on my RPR the rail and the handguard are flush. I cant tighten the screws on the forward rings all the way, there is maybe a 1/4" gap between the top and bottom of the rings left when the front of the scope bottoms out on the rail. Even if the scope would survive the meager recoil of a .22 rifle and hold zero, etc, you cant adjust the parallax like this!

quality surprise
This scope is all you could ask for at a working mans price. Quality, clarity, looks, price. I would buy another in a heart beat. Great job Simmons.
