LIANYU 60 Piece Silverware Flatware Set for 12, Stainless Steel Home Kitchen Hotel Restaurant Cutlery Set, Eating Utensils, Mirror Finished, Dishwasher Safe

I bought these to replace some plastic cutlery for camping. Given the price, I had very low expectations for this cutlery so it was a pleasant surprise to get it and find that it was decent quality.

The knife in this set is a bit lite weight and oddly crafted in a tapered shape to cut down on the amount of metal used per knife. The knives as a result look odd in a rather unsettling way. It is almost as if the knives in this set are Steak Knives substituted for butter knives. These knives could do great damage to a soft dinner roll. However these knives could eviscerate a big juicy porterhouse steak with the best of them.The knives and the flatware in general is heavy and solid to the touch. The weight of the flatware feels good in your hand except for the knives. The knives feel more like steak knives in that the grip surface is not suitable for use with a dinner roll or butter. The soup spoons, tea spoons and forks are all better than average quality.Now I am autistic an as such I am hyper sensitive to weird tastes including and especially RUST! I have a set of this flatware already in use. I brought one 4 person set to see if there were nasty issues of taste associated with this flatware. I washed the flatware in standard dish washing soap. Dried everything and placed the clean flatware in my kitchen flatware drawer. Upon using the flatware there after I noticed no rust. When I tasted my food there was not even the hint of a rusty or metallic taste imparted by the flatware.Yes I too like the shine on this flatware. This is easily basic casual dining restaurant quality flatware, sturdy enough to endure light abuse and still look good. This is NOT the silverware you set out to impress the posh friends and neighbors. This is the flatware you set out when the kids or your crazy biker friends are having a party. This is utilitarian flatware that does the job. If you were ever called to feed the multitudes this is the flatware you would use to get the job done right! This flatware looks nice enough to show you care but not so posh that you care if some of it gets lost. This flatware is just plain enough that no self respecting sneak thief would steal it!

Unfortunately I cannot recommend these. One side of the knives are a bit serrated and the other side is not. I have had them less than a week and one of the knives is already rusting. I also cannot find any contact information for the company so cannot get in touch with them to try and resolve my issues.

The fork cut my lip the first time I used a utensil from this set.I’m thinking I’m going to have to go through this whole set and look for sharp edges?!

Beautiful, shiny everyday ware. Wash great in dishwasher
