The remote appears and performs just the same as the original except for one noticeable thing which others have mentioned already. The buttons have a mechanical response and not the membrane we are used to with the original. I’m a computer guy so I’m used to mechanical clicks, in fact, I kind of like them. Let’s me know I’ve made contact when I press the button. The controller even took an update from the tv, (which worried me because sometimes these 3rd party devices are set to work with older firmware and if you update them or your device, they don’t function after), and not only continued to work, but fixed the only issue I had with the remote, which was that it wouldn’t turn on my cable box. I’m very pleased with this purchase so far. Will update if anything goes wrong.

The remote was too easy to pair with my tv. It works perfectly fine as well. I dont use the voice recognition so, I cannot attest to it working. The basic functions work perfectly fine. The clicking noise that everyone comments on is there and it really doesnt bother me. It actually is better for myself as I can tell that me pressing the button actually registered instead of thinking I didnt press it down enough.

Edit***Decided to give it another try before mailing it back since there weren’t any real better options and I’m glad I did. Turns out that if you go into the settings menu on the TV and add the remote through there, it will connect it properly and download an update. Now voice control works! Yes I felt a bit dumb but in my defense I followed the directions given originally.The remote control looks just like the original and paired easily. However, my remote had no voice recognition and the button haptics were disturbingly loud contrary to the original remote. If you don't want voice recognition and just need a cheaper replacement this could work, but I returned it.

It works straight out of the box. The voice part was a little difficult to set up, but took less than a few minutes in total. Works surprisingly snappy, noticeably better than the stock Sony remote. I am shocked and how well this works. PS personally enjoyed the very clicky buttons.

No problem resetting it to the television. Works like the old one but it might be better more responsive. Great remote. Don't really use it I use more of the DirecTV remote. But now and then I do have to change the settings to the 📺👍

Worthless piece of feces. I could tolerate the hard-to-press buttons, but when it stopped working after 2 days I was thankful to have bought it through Amazon so I could return it. Wish I would've heeded the reviews before ordering, would've saved time and frustration.

I works really well. You get the same functionality as the genuine one and it looks very similar.Now quality is a different thing. This one is very lightweight, it feels cheap and it makes these loud clicks when pressing any button.Although I don't know about longevity, for the price, it is a good purchase.
